Fekola - Mali

The Fekola Project area is situated in southwestern Mali, on the border between Mali and Senegal, approximately 500 km due west of the capital city, Bamako. Gold was first discovered in the Fekola area in Mali by a French prospector at the Fadougou Main Zone in 1953. Since then, a number of companies have completed exploration activities in the general area. B2Gold discovered the Anaconda zones in 2014.

B2Gold’s exploration budget in 2018 for the Fekola Mine and Fekola regional was approximately $19 million.
