Since partnering with Eduvision in 2018, B2Gold Namibia has played an important role in expanding access to quality digital education for learners across the country. What began as a shared vision to bridge educational gaps has grown into a long-standing partnership that continues to deliver meaningful results for schools, teachers, and students.
The Eduvision Project allows teachers to use SMARTboards to beam lessons to schools in remote areas via a dedicated satellite link, reaching several classrooms simultaneously.
The impact of this collaboration was clearly reflected at the start of 2026 when two B2Gold-supported schools, Epukiro Post 3 Secondary School and Kandjimi Murangi Secondary School, achieved exceptional results in Namibia's 2025 national examinations. Epukiro Post 3 ranked fourth nationally, while Kandjimi Murangi secured eighth place. These outstanding achievements not only highlight the dedication of learners and educators but also demonstrate the value of sustained investment in educational resources and digital learning opportunities.
In March, representatives from Eduvision welcomed a delegation from B2Gold, which included the Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Sports, Arts and Culture, Honourable Dino Ballotti, to Ombili Primary School in Otjiwarongo, where they witnessed firsthand the company's significant investment in education. Eduvision praised B2Gold's commitment to creating lasting opportunities for learners, describing its contributions as a legacy that will benefit future generations. During the visit, excitement also grew around the announcement that Coblenz Secondary School in the Otjozondjupa Region would become the latest school to benefit from B2Gold's support.
That commitment continued in May with the formal addition of Coblenz Secondary School to the Eduvision project. At the same time, B2Gold recognized the academic excellence of Epukiro Post 3 and Kandjimi Murangi by funding a second set of digital learning equipment for each school. The additional technology was warmly received by school leadership and has further enhanced teaching and learning opportunities for students. Comprehensive training was provided to educators to ensure they could fully utilize the digital learning system, helping maximize the benefits of the new technology in classrooms. The additional interactive digital boards installed at both Epukiro Post 3 and Kandjimi Murangi were also quickly embraced and are already being used extensively by teachers and learners.
A major milestone was celebrated on July 28 when Coblenz Combined School officially inaugurated its new digital classroom. The facility includes a Clevertouch interactive board, reliable internet connectivity, access to an extensive library of recorded lessons, and 40 learner desks and chairs. Together, these resources are creating new opportunities for innovative teaching and learning while helping ensure that students have access to high-quality educational content regardless of location.
For Eduvision, the inauguration represented more than the opening of a classroom. It was another chapter in a partnership that has helped transform the educational experience for thousands of learners across Namibia. As Eduvision's first corporate partner, B2Gold believed in the organization's vision from the very beginning, investing not only in technology and infrastructure but also in the potential of Namibia's young people.
Today, eight years after the partnership began, B2Gold remains one of Eduvision's most loyal and committed supporters. Through ongoing investments in digital education, school infrastructure, and learner success, the Company continues to help create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
Together, B2Gold and Eduvision are demonstrating how strong partnerships can empower communities, strengthen educational outcomes, and help build a brighter future for Namibia's next generation.
