The Otjikoto Mine is located in the north-central part of Namibia, approximately 300 km north of the country’s capital, Windhoek. A number of companies have carried out exploration activities at the Otjikoto Project. All of the early exploration activity from the 1960s to the late 1990s focused on base metals, but during 1998–1999 visible gold was drill tested and observed.
